The Ministry of Investment issued nearly 3,810 licenses in Q3 2024, up about 74% year-on-year (YoY) after excluding the licenses issued under the National Anti-Commercial Concealment Program (Tasattur).

Compared to Q2 2024, the number of investment licenses increased 40% from around 2,730.

According to the report, the building and construction sector topped the new investment licenses during Q3 2024, with 1,062 in total, followed by the manufacturing sector with 599 licenses.

Egypt led in terms of issued investment licenses in Q3 2024, with about 1,029 licenses, or 28% of the total. It was followed by Yemen with about 439 licenses, then India (318).
